GRID TV — Independent Culture Has a Home.
GRID TV is an independent streaming and digital entertainment platform built to give filmmakers, creators, artists and storytellers a place for their work to be discovered.
Our platform connects audiences with independent films, short films, web series, documentaries, music videos, live performances, podcasts, street media and original entertainment. GRID TV is focused on giving independent creators greater visibility while building a destination where audiences can discover entertainment and culture outside of traditional media.
Our Mission
To create opportunities for independent storytellers while giving audiences access to fresh, authentic entertainment and culture.
The gap GRID TV was built to close is distribution. It has never been cheaper to make a film and it has rarely been harder to be found once you have. A filmmaker can finish a feature on a credit card, run a festival circuit, collect an award — and still have no way for a stranger on a couch to watch it. Meanwhile the largest platforms optimize for the titles that already have marketing behind them, which means the independent work that most needs discovery is the work least likely to get it.
So GRID TV is built the other way around. Every title gets a real page with a written synopsis, credits and a creator profile, so a film can be found by someone searching for its subject and not only by someone who already knows its name. Creators keep their identity on the platform instead of dissolving into a grid of thumbnails. And the free, ad-supported side of the catalog stays free, because a paywall in front of an unknown film is a paywall nobody walks through.
What You'll Find on GRID TV
- Independent Feature Films
- Narrative features made outside the studio pipeline, including preserved independent cinema whose copyright has lapsed and which we stream from restored prints.
- Short Films
- The format where most filmmakers actually develop, and the one with the fewest places to be seen. Shorts get full title pages on GRID TV, not a corner of a playlist.
- Web Series
- Episodic work built for screens rather than broadcast slots, from creators who shot a whole season before anyone asked them to.
- Documentaries & Docuseries
- Nonfiction about subjects and places that rarely get a crew — including archival documentary that has become the historical record of a scene.
- Music Videos
- Visuals from independent artists and directors, treated as films with credits rather than disposable promo.
- Live Performances
- Concert films, sets, showcases and recorded stage work captured properly.
- Podcasts
- Audio and video podcasts from creators building an audience conversation by conversation.
- Street Media
- On-the-ground culture programming shot where it happens, by people from there.
- GRID TV Originals
- Programming we commission, co-produce or develop directly with creators and premiere on the platform.
- Creator Features
- Editorial profiles in Grid Stories built around a creator's own work and their own words.

Built for Independent Creators
GRID TV works directly with filmmakers and creators to help their content reach new audiences. Submissions are reviewed by a person, not scored by an algorithm, and selected creators are contacted about distribution and licensing before anything goes live.
When a project is accepted, we build it out properly: a public title page with poster, synopsis, credits and related titles; a creator page carrying the biography, links and photo the creator supplies; and placement in the browse rows and editorial coverage where it fits. Creators can be featured in Grid Stories, and filmmakers distributing through the platform share in the advertising revenue their work generates.
There are limits we hold to. We never write a biography on a creator's behalf, never invent credits for a film, and never publish an interview that didn't happen. If information is missing from a page, it is because nobody has confirmed it yet — which is a better state for a platform to be in than confidently wrong.
The Future of GRID TV
GRID TV is building a growing digital entertainment ecosystem that connects creators, audiences, advertisers and independent culture in one place.
For audiences, that means more programming and better ways to find it: linear channels running around the clock, an editorial hub that tells you why something is worth watching, and title pages deep enough to decide from. For creators, it means more surface area — an Originals slate, creator pages that function as portfolios, and revenue tied to real playback rather than a flat fee. For advertisers and partners, it means a platform where brand placement sits beside original programming and never disguises itself as content.
We're direct about the stage we're at. Not every section is full, and we would rather show you an honest "coming soon" than a page of invented titles. The catalog, the creator directory and Grid Stories all grow as real work comes in — which is the only way an independent platform grows.
